The narrow creek at the end of the river, carved through the huge mud banks alongside the reed beds, is transformed as the tide creeps up the creek spilling across the mud. The Tresillian River rises in mid Cornwall and feeds into the Truro River and then becomes part of the Fal Estuary; across the river the woodland and fields are part of the Tregothnan estate. This painting was inspired by a lovely walk along the creek to St Clements in June when the water was calmly flowing up the creek.
Painted on a stretched canvas in oils, size 70x50 cms. The painting is wrapped around the sides of the canvas and is ready to hang.
